In NSW, we have a recycling scheme called Return and Earn, which exchanges one can or plastic bottle for a 10-cent voucher that you can use at Woolworths or donate to a charity.

It’s really easy! All you need to do is collect cans or bottles in a box, then once a month (or every two months), you go to your nearest collection point.

Other states have similar programs. In the Northern Territory, there’s NTPEA; in South Australia, there’s Which Bin; in Canberra, there’s Recyclopedia; in Queensland, there’s Let’s Get It Sorted; in Victoria, there’s CDS VIC; and in Tasmania, there’s Reward Recycling.
